Only a few weeks to go until PAHV is open again. We're busy carrying out maintenance on site, in the club and getting entertainment lined up for the year. Entertainment newsletter is coming soon, but we can reveal we've got some firm favourites coming back and some new acts throughout the season.

And as ever, we'll have family-friendly events for Easter, summer holidays, Halloween and Christmas.

Welcome to our 2023 Entertainment Newsletter

We hope to be more on the ball next year and get this out to you earlier for 2024!

In the meantime, we hope you have all enjoyed the entertainment so far, and we will continue to update the Park Avenue & Southbank Club (and PAHV Owners) Facebook pages with any amendments or additions to this newsletter, plus more in-depth timetable nearer the time.

A small team of volunteers have worked hard to get this programme of events together, taking time out to meet and message the group with ideas etc, however with more volunteers we could do much more for our owners, younger children and older children.

The Clubhouse will be open again this weekend with entertainment laid on for the Bank holiday.

Winter 2022 Newsletter

In the owners' section you will find our December 2022 newsletter which will be coming out to you soon via email or post. Apologies for the lateness but there have been some last minute changes at the end of a busy season!

In addition there is an important agreement document to be signed by chalet owners and returned to the office (you can also send via email), and information about why this is needed. This came out with electricity bills in early December. However this has also been delayed by post, so contact us for email copy if this has not come to you yet.

Autumn Weekend Roadworks M2/A249

Diversions ahead!

National Highways are in the middle of improvements to the Stockbury interchange (Junction 5 of the M2 where it joins the A249), and are about to commence with a series of weekend closures that will last until December 2022.

This is in addition to the slip road closures on the eastbound side (from London, toward Dover) which are in place from September until January 2023. (Use the Gillingham exit Jn 4, and A2 via Rainham and Bobbing)

The A249 southbound (towards Maidstone) between Bobbing and the Stockbury roundabout will be closed:

8pm Friday 7 October to 5am Monday 10 October
8pm Friday 14 October to 5am Monday 17 October
8pm Friday 21 October to 5am Monday 24 October
8pm Friday 4 November to 5am Monday 7 November
8pm Friday 11 November to 5am Monday 14 November

For drivers heading south (towards Maidstone) from the Bobbing roundabout, there will be a diversion in place via Sheppey Way, Chestnut Street and Maidstone Road. This will bring you the Stockbury roundabout, where you can continue your journey.

The A249 northbound (towards Sheppey) between the Stockbury roundabout and Bobbing will be closed:

8pm Friday 18 November to 5am Monday 21 November
8pm Friday 25 November to 5am Monday 28 November
8pm Friday 2 December to 5am Monday 5 December
8pm Friday 9 December to 5am Monday 12 December
8pm Friday 16 December to 5am Monday 19 December

For drivers wishing to head north (towards Sheppey) from the Stockbury roundabout, there will be a diversion in place via Maidstone Road, Chestnut Street, and Sheppey Way. This will bring you back to the A249 northbound, where you can continue with your journey.

Annual General Meeting 28th August 2022

The Annual General Meeting of Park Avenue Holiday Village is held on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday.
2022's AGM will be at 10am on 28th August 2022.

It is important for all Chalet owners to read the minutes from the previous meeting, proposed changes to site policies, and any nominations for the Committee. These are circulated by post prior to the meeting - please contact the Committee or call in at the Site office if you haven't received yours.

Campaign for life saving AED equipment

Fundraising for Defibrillator for use by Emergency responders.

We are pleased to announce our campaign to raise funds for an AED device to be installed at the site. Working alongside AEDdonate, we need to raise £2000 to get defibrillator equipment. In only the first few days, we've had an incredible response from the PAHV community on the site and through online donations at the AEDdonate website. Thanks so much everyone, you make us proud!

Why have we launched this campaign?

30,000 people die each year from out of hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), 620 of these are people under the age of 35 and 270 of these deaths happen to children within schools. If defibrillation takes place within the first three minutes of a SCA, the patient’s chances of survival increase by upwards of 80%.

Having the defibrillator installed means that it can be deployed by the local ambulance trust in a bid to give the patient the all-important shock to the heart prior to the ambulance arrival. The defibrillator is by no means a replacement to the ambulance service, it just allows patient treatment to commence immediately. For Leysdown, this equipment is critical for saving lives as it can often take a long time for ambulances to arrive at this end of the island.

Easter 2022 - eggsplained!

Can you believe it's been 3 years since our last Easter together at Park Avenue?! We've got a packed lineup of events, with the Southbank Club open every day during the holidays, and extended opening on the weekends.

We are aiming to put on a Kids Fun day during the week, with several Bouncy Castles out on the field at a cost of £5 per wrist band for all-day come & go play access.

We also plan on hosting a weekend BBQ, (Weather permitting, subject to change, terms and conditions apply etc etc) - details to follow!

So kids, grab your cardboard tube and yellow paper and crack on on with your Easter bonnets!

Summer Plans?

We plan on keeping the same timetable for the Club for the 6 weeks Summer Holidays.

And weather permitting, Kids Fun days will take place every Tuesday & Thursday throughout the 6-week holidays.

Busy busy busy!

The Committee have been hard at work getting the site ready for the 2022 season, as well as getting to grips with administration of PAHV and Southbank club.

The First Committee meeting of the new season will take place over the Easter period on Saturday 16th April 2022, with an Owners Surgery between 11.30am - 1.00pm.

Most importantly (maybe?!) the clubhouse is now open! Opening times and Easter activities coming soon!
